Playday fun in Amersham

To celebrate National Play Day, a whole host of events will be taking place in Amersham tomorrow, Wednesday, August 3.

Fun for kids in Amersham
King George V Field and Chiltern Pools will be filled with a range of activities, including climbing, swimming, football, basketball, skateboarding, crafts, street dance and magic. There'll be something for everyone, from tiny tots to teenagers to enjoy.
There is no need to book and the activities are free. The timetable is as follows:
11am Indoor climbing
11am - 1pm Story-telling and craft making
12noon - 2pm Family swimming
12noon - 2pm Team sports such as football and basketball
12noon - 3pm Music workshop
1.30pm - 2.30pm Skateboarding workshop
12noon - 3pm Children's entertainer, magic, Punch and Judy shows
2pm - 2.45pm Toddler football
2pm - 3pm Street dance
The event is funded by Bucks Community Foundation and supported by Chiltern District Council and Nexus Community.
Councillor Mimi Harker, Chiltern's Cabinet Member for young people and leisure said: "It's great to have our own local version of this amazing national event. We want the day to be as much fun as possible. Why not make a day of it and bring along a picnic."
