Apparently in March this year, Transport for Bucks were granted an additional 2 million pounds to bring the roads in Bucks back up to standard following the severe winter last year. They had two, two to four man gangs working full time across the county and repaired 4359 pot holes between 21st June to 9th September. We can only hope the Bucks County Council learnt fromt eh snow in January and actually salt the roads this year. It was a disgrace that Station Road was not salted when the first snow came. At least they have repaired the potholes here now as that road really was an embarrassment.
The council have acted fast, I'm impressed that they've finally sorted the potholes on Woodside Road - the roundabout by the Audi dealership. Looks like they've filled some others in my area too which is great. Just need to get to the smaller roads in the residential areas now, some in Little Chalfont are still quite bad. Anyone else noticed any really bad roads since the snow that we should avoid or potholes we should watch out for?
Bucks County Council reportedly called for residents to report any severe potholes or road damage as early as possible so as to avoid the £2m repair job that was necessary in January 2010.
