The turnout for yesterday's by-election was 25.9%. Why was turnout so low, especially given the big issue of HS2 going on?

    It's a done deal. It is always a Tory win in Amersham so not point voting for, or against. Democratic dictatorship.

    But LibDems won. I wonder if that's why, the Tory supporters just thought it was a done deal so didn't vote - which left the playing field open for the other party voters. Maybe...
