Get fit, have fun and try something new in Amersham with the REACTIVATE BUCKS initiative

Whether you're looking for a new adventure in Amersham, like to try new things or simply want a less monotonous way of getting healthy and staying in shape than pounding the treadmill at the gym watching Hollyoaks with subtitles, Reactivate Bucks is something you should know about. 

Reactivate Bucks is a collation of local fitness groups, sports communities and organisations, coordinated by Bucks Sport, aimed at inspiring adults to get fit, stay healthy and have fun. 

Activities include running, swimming, traithlons, sports, dance, walking and more. This week, Reactivate Bucks is running a 'Give it a Go' campaign to encourage adults to return to sport/physical activity or try something new, and Amersham sport and fitness groups are getting involved. 

Zumba, the globally renowned latin-inspired dance workout, is having a free trial session on the 17th May at Hyde Heath Common, Amersham, and again on the 24th May. 

Also on the 17th May at the Hyde Heath Common, Amersham, is a free taster session with Melissa Laing Fitness - an exciting outdoor fitness bootcamp for women.

Local gym, Amersham Nexus Community Gym, also forms part of Reactivate Bucks, offering Step Aerobics, Conditioning, Aqua Aerobics, Body Pump, Pilates etc. 

Other local events include a beginners running course in Hervines Park, Amersham, running until the 16th June, Karate for over 50's and Traithlon sessions, amongst many many more!
