Two men injured in altercation in Amersham

A serious disturbance broke out in Amersham at approximately 8:40pm on Thursday 17th November - two men were injured.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were injured during an altercation in Amersham on the evening of 17 November 2011.
The altercation happened in Weller close and involved around seven people. A 44-year-old man was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital with serious head injuries. He has now been transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. A 23-year-old man also received hospital treatment for facial injuries. He has since been discharged.
Two men, aged 18 and 23, and a 21-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and affray are currently in police custody.
Det Insp Sharon Hill, investigating the incident, said: "The people involved in this incident all knew each other and had made arrangements to meet. The community should not be overly alarmed, as this was not a random attack. We have arrested three people in connection with the incident, but would still like to speak to anyone who witnessed it or has any information."
