It's official, Buckinghamshire was the coldest place in the UK over the weekend.

The BBC News reported the MET office findings early this morning.

A temperature of  -19.6C was recorded in Chesham between Saturday night and Sunday morning, after heavy snow had fallen in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.

The adverse weather has left Chiltern Trains operating a reduced service, with just two trains per hour to many of the stations. See their website for more updates on local train services.
